Yesterday was the first day of school at Upton Lake. Here are a few photos from the beginning of school.

Theme for the 2011-2012 School Year

Upton Lake Christian School has been blessed to start the new year with the theme of worship. "All creation proclaims the glory of the Lord". Nations and nature all bring Jesus glory, honor and praise as they acknowledge His greatness and seek to obey his precepts. Our theme verse is from Psalms 96 verses 9-10

"Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness;

tremble before him, all the earth. Say among the nations,

"The LORD reigns." The world is firmly established, 

it cannot be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity".

We actually got to come to school this week! After last week's one day of school, because of all the snow, the teachers have been busy trying to get the students caught up to end the quarter today. Mrs. LaCoste has been having extra classes to finish up projects for the upcoming art show March 17th. Students should start thinking of a skit, speech or an instrumental piece to perform in the art show if they wish. Sign up with me, Miss Y., if you're interested in performing or volunteering.
